SAMRONG : The underdog Pattaya Oilers battled back from a two-goal deficit to defeat the D'Pelican Inn Flyers 4-3 and become the 2010-11 Thai-World Hockey League champions.
The deciding play-off game was an evenly matched high tempo affair. Captain Adrian Meyers put the Oil up, hammering a slap shot home from the blue line.
The Flyers replied quickly, however, as Scott Whitcomb bulged the twine. Captain Dave Cote continued his torrid scoring pace, netting a pair of goals in the second period to give the Flyers a 3-1 lead.
